Emily Dwyer
Emily is a lifelong New Yorker who has dedicated her career to public service, with experience in politics, government, and communications. She served as the Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Relations for Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone’s administration, helping to write and pass policies to better the county and state. In this role, she was able to assist in the passing of water quality legislation, affordable housing projects, the furthering of clean energy bills, and more. She also served in a leadership role for the annual Suffolk County Marathon, which recently crossed the million dollar mark in funds raised for Veteran non-profits across the county. She has also built relationships with elected officials, non-profits, and advocates across the state, and worked with these public servants to work to create a better New York State.
Prior to serving in government, Emily worked on many political campaigns in management roles for local, state, and federal elections. She has experience in these roles running communications, event planning, volunteer coordination, marketing, fundraising, field strategy, and overall campaign management. These campaigns have allowed her to meet countless New Yorkers and hear their concerns, experiences, and perspectives.
